Biography Dr Adam Giangreco
Adam is the director of health and life Sciences innovation at the University of the Highlands and Islands. This role gives him the opportunity to influence the scale, scope, and direction of life sciences innovation throughout Inverness and the Highlands. Adam is particularly interested in highly collaborative projects linking academia and business, to help deliver tangible, life changing clinical improvements. Prior to moving to Inverness, he was lead biologist for the medical devices group at TTP, a technology development consultancy in Cambridge, UK. Before that he ran a successful research lab within the University College London Division of Medicine with a focus on respiratory biology. Adam holds a PhD in cell biology and molecular biology from the University of Pittsburgh and a Master's degree on Molecular Toxicology from the University of Rochester.

Professor Stephen Leslie
Professor Stephen Leslie
Steve Leslie is an interventional cardiologist in the North of Scotland. His PhD was awarded in 2005 and involved basic and clinical research into the endothelin system in Heart Failure. He continues to have a wide range of research interests including heart failure, basic science, remote and rural service provision and the history of medicine. He has honorary professorships with The University of the Highlands and Islands and The University of Stirling. Steve is clinical lead for the Heart Failure and Cardiac Rehabilitation services.
